'I remember after the crazy blur that NY proved to be, and the nostalgic atmosphere that hovered around everyday in Lima like a ticking clock counting my days until i had to leave, i knew i had a lot to say, but for some reason my pen refused to write. And then my dad asked me if i wanted to come with him to Costa Rica; he owns some land there in the middle of a national reserve; i said yes. Jumped on a plane two weeks later and there i was, pen in hand, barely a roof over our heads, no walls, just the nakedness of the virgin jungles, the breathing of the ocean and the sunset. And suddenly it started pouring, and something about how time seemed to suspend for a second and the way the smoke seemed to twirl in the room made every melody fell into place, i knew what i wanted to say, i knew that it wasn't about finding a missing piece, it's about carving it out, i already had what i needed, all i needed was to be introduced to it when the time was right, and so i went back to the studio once the trip was over and decided that the time was right to finally introduce myself.'
