Born out of necessity for distraction from the pains of law school, Talking Trees' self-titled, debut album was slowly recorded in a home studio between bouts with caselaw and legal briefs. The album sets singer-songwriter Daniel Mooney's poignant storytelling to multi-instrumentalist Ryan Crandall's swelling strings, saloon piano, accordion, and more for an indie folk/rock/pop mashup that has something for everyone.
