Stephanie has always been a singer, ever since she was a pre-teen, strumming her tennis racquet like a guitar, jumping up and down on her bed, and singing along with songs on the radio. In more recent years, she sings in church with the praise team, and of course her own compositions. Her heart's desire is to praise the Lord, and for you to get a blessing by listening to their music. Up until February of 2009, this song-writing team had completed two songs - over a course of about 20 months. About that time, David began to pray for a "heart after God's own heart" - like his namesake, King David. While suffering from clinical depression, David began to form the framework for about one to two songs a week for several months, until finally by mid-summer, he and Stephanie had written over thirty songs! Also at that time, David was able to come off his anti-depressant medicine! This was totally a "God thing"! There were several nights that David would wake up from a sound sleep and quietly leave the bedroom to go work on a song he was "hearing in his head". David mostly writes the "foundation" of each song and provides the "framework" of lyrics, chords, etc. Stephanie provides the "finishing" work, sort of like building a house. Together, they try to re-create what they have "heard" in their heads, and believe that they are hearing from heaven what the Lord has laid on their hearts.
