Back in 2009 the Berlin resident, producer and well-notorious DJ Gunnar Stiller first contributed to the Upon.You Sweet & Sour series with his „Cubicle EP“ which turned out to be the first link in an ongoing musical liaison of love. Gaining momentum ever since Gunnar Stiller has not only been collecting heaps of air miles whilst travelling all over the globe for his highly appreciated DJ sets but became a firm, stalwart member of the Upon.You family, continously shaping his musical vision and providing subtle, well effective dancefloor weapons with a sparse, techy twist. His new Upon.You outing „What's Said Is Done“ sees Gunnar Stiller at his very best, creating a razor sharp, timeless and Funk-induced TechHouse sound that's about to play an integral role in many DJs boxes within the next months. Opening this brand new track triplet is „Way More“, a perfect example of Gunnar Stiller's well-balanced and masterly crafted TechHouse vision. Whilst microcut snippets of male vocals and a glitzy main motif pay homage to the tunes classic House roots we see a super solid TechHouse foundation keeping floors busy with only a few changes here and there. Effective breaks and lively dynamics are the key elements for „Way More“, providing 460 seconds of pure happyness. Although named „Lazy Daze“ this tune's the right opposite of a lazy one. Providing pressure with its ever rolling bassline and straight up shakers, Mr. Stiller once again relies on sophisticated use of dynamics and adds expertly warped, low frequency synths reconnoitring a widely open stereo field, manipulating space and time perception with short echoes and a slightly tripping twist. Finally „Double O“ sets out to explore the realms of pumping, straightforward, late night House music with an ever repeating, hypnotic three tone motif, detailed drum works and beauteous harmonies - a sweet and seductive fusion amalgamating free floating elegancy, amorous melodies and moony deepness.
