The Battle (Marlene's Song) was written in 2006 as a theme song for Relay For Life in my hometown, Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada. It has become a very popular song locally, and has started to catch on south of the Canadian border, being picked up for use at many community's Relay For Life. I recorded this song as a tribute to everyone who has been affected by cancer. I also pledge to donate half of all sales to The Canadian Cancer Society. 'We will be the ones to prove that it can be done, And what a battle we will show the world we've won'.
