Ryan Walt, South Africa’s favourite panpipe player, male vocalist Steven Sterling and The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is proud to present a duet album ten years in the making. “Take my hand – (The Cancer Album)” is the new unique album event and it combines the mystical panpipes and the crisp vocals of both awarded brothers. “Take my hand” is a well-knit together music experience delivering a message of hope, faith and love. After Ryan and Steven got news of their mother’s breast cancer diagnosis, a relationship with CANSA was formed that grew stronger as both parties became more involved with the “Take my hand” single. “Take my hand” was performed live at the SABC studios for the CANSA Shavathon and became the official theme song for everyone affected with cancer. Lyrically the song speaks of hope, courage and faith whilst the music garnered great international respect during the “Italian World Peace Song Festival”. The album plays like a life story as listeners identify themselves within the songs because the universal theme of survivorship. The album is innovative and fresh but it is the magical duets that will make listeners beg for more. The album is stylish, memorable but most of all honest and uplifting.
