Gospel Soul (Original Mix) kicks off as a funky bouncy vibe with an African chant coming in and fading out of the groove. A nicely filtered 8 bit riff buzzes in the background panning from side to side as this track falls into the first little break. A tight stab plucks away on the bouncy groove adding a new rhythm as it's filter sweeps over it adding little nuances and resonating perfectly in the mix. The vocal comes back in with its notched voice building the energy at the drop and fading into an upbeat groovin track with a smooth african feel. A fat kick and deep bass leads Warren Monkey's Remix immediately into darker vibe. A filtered scratchy white noise moves through the mix pulsing as it takes the sidechain from the kick. At the first break the vocal comes in at a lower pitch and brightens as the filter is opened up allowing it to crash into the beat. A stab drops into the mix, filtered and low and works itself on the groove. With each addition of filtered percussion, the track drops into a grooving tribal vibe which is now driving and pushing the sonic horizon. Rising up is the vocal, crushed and bright dropping into the heavy kick as the track keeps grooving on. The vocal comes in, chanting, as the sidechaining bounces the vocal into the main breakdown. The whole track opens up as it pushes into the main breakdown, with the layers of delayed and filtered sounds turning the breakdown into a psychedelic melting pot. The breakdown builds and the track plunges back into the fat kick and thick bass. The vocal carries on chanting and pulsing as it's lightly bit crushed and moved through the mix. The track pushes forward keeping it's energy going as it slowly strips each element off, filtering and transitioning beautifully for the rest of the track.
