Wicked Game
Music is like air, it makes you fly. Let's fly somewhere loud where all our problems disappear, and the ones that don't, we can scream about. I was inspired early on by the anger of bands like Linkin Park, Default and Staind, and by the personal lyrics of bands like Nickelback because the best music is honest music, when someone is honest about why they're happy or totally messed up. About me: When I was little my dad would take me here and there in the car, and he would play the classic rock radio station. Around the same time I discovered dance and electronica. In my teens I fell in love with swing music and started listening to music all the way back to the short ragtime era (ragtime then evolved into swing). That phase lasted a long time, I began to practice singing crooner songs and jazz standards and I even learned to play the saxophone and trumpet (just in case I was to accidentally transport myself back to the forties). At the same time I was a dancer and getting used to hearing hip-hop music. After studying singing in a serious way at a fine arts high school (best school ever) in British Columbia, I met a good friend who introduced me to music from the 80s, mostly British rock, goth rock, Israeli music, including rock, and more. That bled into me remembering my love of dance music and getting back into disco and discovering funk music. Love of funk music became a love for what funk music became, then I started listening to deeper hip-hop, and Jamaican, African, and other international and ethnic music, like the group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I then decided that I needed to expand my musical horizons, so I got a satellite radio. Now that I have satellite radio, I can listen to all kinds of music, even do-wop. Collaborating Artists: The electric guitar solos are a feature of a very talented artist who wishes to remain anonymous. The electric guitar expresses human emotions, they flow and sound awesome. About my music: Artists that have been inspiring my music recently are David Grey, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, and countless others. I love classical music, swing, early rock, disco, rap, hip-hop, and everything. The evolution of styles and sound through the electronic age is fascinating, as well as the evolution of rock. Through I am a classically trained choir singer, and opera singer, rock music is my way to express anger, pain, heartbreak, confusion, and love.
