This piece is an epic soundtrack to a moving war movie, with a sense of emotion equivalent to Hacksaw Ridge, Platoon or Saving Private Ryan films. Inspired by my volunteering work with the Queensland State Emergency Service during ANZAC day, where we honour and remember those fallen heroes. This piece strives to capture the raw emotion, angst and hopelessness that war brings. This darkness is juxtaposed by the main actor (Jamie) who's strength of character shows through into the music, bringing colour and light to the work. He is the Fallen Hero. SAS Platoon Commander and eventual recipient of the Victoria Cross (VC), leaving behind his young family: Jamie (2), Lindy (5) and widow Sarah (23). This is story is depicted visually on the music cover. Lest we forget. The work is an orchestrai soundscape of approximately 12-15 layers, each one morphing in and out to build a grand climax. The last few moments of the piece expose two or three layers of a time, representing the fragility and futility of war. This work is perfect for YouTube, film and TV use, where the director wishes to bring incredible emotion and yearning to a particular scene. I really hope you enjoy this piece.
