This might be known as the lost recording of Tom Grant. It was recorded and mastered in 2006-2007 at the Philly area Silvertone Studios by engineer and co-producer Alfred James, also well known as the frontman for the Alfred James Band. Due to personal issues, it lay in the can for 10 years. Flavors of pop, rock, blues, reggae, swing, and folk flavor all of these tunes. There are even a couple of acapella tunes, on from the American folk tradition, and one from the British. Tom is joined by mostly Philly area musicians Paul Downie, Sean Peck, and Dave Beaver on drums and percussion, Alfred James on cello and bass recorder, John Dichter and Allen James on electric guitar, Bob Beach and Malcolm Arrison on harmonica (Malcolm actually recorded his tracks in Berlin, Germanyw where he lives), Akire Bubar, Eileen Tipping, and Phyllis Chappel on background and duet vocals, and, most importantly, Miles Grant (Tom's son) and Claude Arthur on bass (Claude is well known as a session man and live artist both in the Frisco and D.C. music scenes). Tom also accompanies himself on guitar, mandolin, upright bass, and percussion. Hey folks, it was worth the wait! Check it out.
