Slider's sound is a giant melting pot of a vast field of influences. Front-woman Mariah Schneider's love for artists ranging from Paramore to Brandi Carlile to Julian Baker creates an attitude and lyrical depth that is unique to only Slider. The other members, Marcus Wanner, Kyle Hanson, and Caleb Powell, share an interest for bands such as Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, and Van Halen, while also enjoying the jazz greats and artists from a wide variety of genres. Together, they develop a sound that cannot be closely compared to anything else.
