These two new releases are a taste of my next album. Green Lake is in Wisconsin and I met a young man who was clearly down on his luck. We had a pleasant conversation over cigarettes and a beer for me and a a coffee for him. He'd recently quit drinking. When I asked where he lived he said he was from Chicago but staying with a friend here in Wisconsin who was trying to provide a get away from all his triggers. I asked how he liked it. He said god must be in Green Lake. I said I don't know anything about that but it sure is beautiful. My pal's great grandfather had to change his name back in 1938. He left his mid-West home to try his luck in New Orleans. Things got out of hand and he had to leave in a hurry. Hopped a barge out of NOLA, back to Iowa.
