FREE I, was created at a time of real personal and professional growth. I had enough of the pace, and life style of London, it was feeling like a struggle. The opportunity came to work in Aotearoa (New Zealand), where I have travelled back and forth for a number of years, and have always felt really connected to it’s land and people. I spent 3-4 years living in between New Zealand and Australia. What was the most important lesson/Connection? The most important connection I made was to the Earth and people, gaining a glimpse of tribal culture in Australia and New Zealand, learning “We are caretakers of the Earth” I’m always consistently writing and recording where ever I am, and Free I feels like the documentation of my journey of that time. I am a British born Jamaican, who fell in love with the real Australia and New Zealand. It made me want to learn more about my own heritage, and so the journey continues
