Sky was born in Ahlen, Germany as Ronny Roman Bunke (1956). In 1973 he met Memphis Slim at the Montreaux Jazz festival and set his sight on music. He reached the United States in 1983 and set up a recording studio across the Bay from San Francisco. His debut album Dreams was released in 1988. 'Dreams' is considered a classic due to the 14 minute long track 'The shores of the High Prietess' by Forest from the syndicated radio show Musical Starstreams. Sky now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico and continues to create new music.
