What we love about house, techno and all the flavours inbetween is how, more than any other form of music, they can stop you in your tracks, induce goosebumps on the spot, and leave you saying to anyone who is within earshot – what is that track / have you heard THIS / where the hell can I get it? That’s why we do what we do, pure and simple. And Andrew Sant has delivered not one, but two tunes which do all of the above by the truckload. ‘The Call’ first reared its head on our Showcase 20 collection, and instantly demanded a stand-alone release. Andre Espeut’s oh so soulful vocal – part sung / part spoken – allied to Andrew’s exquisite piano motifs are house music at its most timeless and pure. This release includes its brand new mastering, and also features an instrumental version that is dynamite in its own right. And there’s more! ‘Rollin’ On’ sees Andrew team up with another brilliant vocalist, no less than Pauline Taylor, famous for her work with Rollo’s Cheeky stable in the 90s, and more recently with leading house imprints Classic, Nervous and F*CLR. A characteristically powerhouse vocal performance rides atop a stirring, peak time acid-tinged monster.
