Lazy Days Recordings is thrilled to present the unreleased House version of "A Long Time Coming," a standout track from Fred Everything’s JUNO-nominated album, “Love, Care, Kindness & Hope”. While the track previously appeared as a dub on the companion remix LP “Love, Care, Kindness & Dubs”, this marks its first true "House" treatment. The version was originally conceived during a remix masterclass Fred taught in Montreal, but it was later completed after a recent trip to South Africa provided the final spark of inspiration. Clocking in at 120 BPM, the remix centers on a classic house chord hook while preserving the "low-slung" vibe of the original. Sapele’s timeless 70s-style vocals take center stage, complemented by Fred’s own backing hooks and of course Finn Peters wonderful horn arrangements. We thought the remix chapter for this album was closed—but some tracks are simply too good to keep in the vault.
