Airplane Mode (feat. AKLO)
This track captures the feeling of constantly moving from city to city, and in today's age of information overload, the instinct to focus on what truly deserves our attention-expressed through a sound that is both light and grounded at its core. For this release, SALU teamed up with Chaki Zulu, a central figure in the Japanese hip-hop crew/collective YENTOWN, who has built a strong presence through his extensive work in beat-making and production for numerous artists. Also joining the track is AKLO, a rapper affiliated with ONE YEAR WAR MUSIC (O.Y.W.M.), the label led by BACHLOGIC, and a frequent collaborator on many songs including RGTO. Having shared the same scene and atmosphere, the two artists bring a natural, convincing collaboration that only their current sense of distance and perspective could produce, adding further depth to the track. This release marks the first single since SALU's move to Bullmoose Records, a label operated by BMSG. With an upcoming appearance at the hip-hop festival POP YOURS on April 4 (Sat), the song quietly points to both where SALU stands now and what lies ahead, as he steps into a full-fledged new phase of activity.
