Miso's latest release is quite a special one....here's the back story.... in 2013 Charles was involved in setting up an musical / educational strategy in Cape Town called African Dance Music and Technology (ADMT)...ADMT was setup to share knowledge and educate young people, who, due to circumstances, may not have had the chances in life that Charles has had..so...during the workshop while Charles was making a track to demonstrate production techniques, he asked if anyone in the room could sing and would be willing to get up and record with him right now....and...one brave young woman, Buhle Mweli, took to the stage and sang to Charles' backing track...and this track became 'feeling good'....and what a gem it is....optimistic summer vibes all over...the track features deep chords, electronic strings, hang drums a plenty all topped of with Buhle's lovely vocal hook....feeling good indeed ! In addition to the live music making at ADMT, Charles also gave attendees the opportunity to remix one of his own tracks....."learning to love me' (featuring Divinit on vocals)....all the attendees were given the parts from the original track and one month to come up with there own interpretation of the track....we had 20 fantastic entrants but we had to pick one winner and it was Cape Town's DJ Chumza who delivered the best mixes....as well as getting his mixes released he was presented with a sound card (very kindly donated by Focusrite).....his dub mix is tough deep afro styes and his vocal mix is smooth and emotional deepness with a lovely melodic sine wave sequence guaranteed to bring a tear to the eye of the most jaded ears....abd to beautifully round of this special EP....ADMT's special guest speaker Da Capo delivery a beautiful moody and tight as hell mix in his own inimitable style....a certain future classic for sure. We are really proud of this ep as it has given a career launchpad to 2 brand new artists in Buhle Mweli and DJ Chumza.
