Playground Effect, the EP title is a great description of Jeaven’s music, where everything is in constant and vibrant motion. From the the way the tracks evolve- to sound design to the beat-programing – there are no presets. The title track seems to spin at two velocities at once, balancing a driving, linear groove with half-speed voices to create a sense of suspended animation. Centralized goes even deeper, with a rippling bass melody that gets deep inside your stomach. All three tracks on this EP are like springtime on hot wax.
