唱片编号：Digitmovies CDDM046 Digitmovies continues its music celebration of Mario Bava, The Italian Master of Horror and Thriller, releasing the third volume of its series ”MARIO BAVA ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKS ANTHOLOGY” focusing on the three original scores composed and conducted by Maestro Stelvi oCipriani for Bava’s “Ecologia del delitto” (Bay of blood) (1971), “Gli orrori del castello di Norimberga” (Baron Blood) (1972) and “Cani Arrabbiati“ (Rabid dogs) (1973). The release of this two disc set became possible again thanks to the big cooperation of the C.A.M. Film Music Archives. Of these scores, from “Ecologia del delitto” only one single was issued in the year 1971 (C.A.M. AMP 95) containing on one side “Evelyn Theme” and it seems that the theme called “Teenagers Cha-Cha-Cha” appeared on a very rare C.A.M. library LP. The scores from "Ecologia del delitto", “Gli orrori del castello di Norimberga” and “Cani Arrabbiati” have survived until today in their integrity and recorded in full stereo.Disc 1 contains the complete score from “Ecologia del delitto” (Bay of blood). Stelvio Cipriani has written a tribal-sound percussive score rich in contemporary music style effects, dominated by a slow hypnotic theme for strings and percussions with a little pop vein. The sad classic style love theme for piano and orchestra, called “Evelyn Theme” the rare romantic moments of this score made of recurrent wild percussive and guitar effects that gives to the listener a great sense of fear and obsession, perfect music back ground for the 13 bloody murders shown. Stelvio Cipriani has also written some cool lounge-style music like bossa and shake. Disc 1 is filled als owith the complete score from “Cani arrabbiati” (Rabid dogs) (1973). The score is a very good example of Stelvio Cipriani’s well known style for the Cops movies: “Main Titles" features a rhythmical ostinato for harpsichord, guitars and percussions very similar to the one composed by M°Cipriani for the famous “POLIZIA” series. Stelvio Cipriani introduces in the “Main Titles”, a south Italian theme, the “Family Theme” whose life is destroyed by a gang of robbers, the “Rabid dogs” of the story. This OST features also a very groove theme as background to the chase in the corn-field . Disc 2 contains the whole score from Bava’s “Gli orrori del castello di Norimberga” (Baron Blood) (1972) Stelvio Cipriani has written an atonal orchestral score with both classical and jazz approaches and rich in great sound effects given by tortured brass, guitars and percussions. The tension of the music score is broken by the happy latin-flavoured theme introduced in take one of “Main Titles” for piano, large orchestra and choir . This double Cd set contains as bonus tracks alternate takes of the main themes from all the three OST Limited edition compact disc - 12 full colour pages de-luxe booklet.
