The presence of James Blood and Don Pullen on "All the things you are" on this CD only makes me ask why didnt I have them play together. James is totally elastic and his music has energy that makes you walk all night after youve heard him play. Don Pullen brought a new expression to the piano and also a new technic of playing with back of his hands. I remember him cleaning the piano of blood after a concert. His soul has transcended but his music remains and reminds us of what superior spiritual being he truly was. On "All the things you are" hes uplifting and serene at the same time. What a great artist, it was a joy to know him.
