Singer/songwriter Jbeatz AKA Jason Haynes was born in Birmingham UK. Jason’s musical journey begun at the tender age of 3 yrs old when he used to watch his father Grantley GT Haynes working with artists he used to manage and produce, mainly in the reggae music industry, at the time, such as Pato Banton, Tippa Irie and gospel reggae artist, Peter Spence. Jason used to also accompany his father to the studio when he was working with other producers, such as Drummie Zeb of ASWAD and David Hinds of Steel Pulse and UB40. As you can imagine this was a phenomenal training ground for the young impressionable Jbeatz and he was given many a lesson by his older peers. In the year 2000’ Jason begun experimenting on his own with his uncle GMAN and his cousin KB who at this time was begin coached by GT. Jason then became known as Jbeatz because of his ability to craft out a range of drum patterns and infectious melodies please to the youth at that time ears. Jbeatz produced a mix tape called ‘Fully Trapped Volume 1’ this caught the attention of local radio and in particular the young people of Birmingham. Almost at the same time Jbeatz, recognised that he had a voice for singing, gusting on a number of tracks for other artists his name became synonymous for hooks’ he also started to write and spit bars. In 2013 Jason encouraged his father who at this time had left the music industry for 18 years to re enter. He agreed to do this in order to help Jbeatz fulfil his goal. However, it took him sometime before he was ready. As fate and the grace of God would have it, Jbeatz was ready to work with his father in December of 2015. In January 2016 Jbeatz completed ‘Are You Real’ a duet with stable mate ‘Lucy Megan Tennyson’ the beat was composed by ‘My Boyz Beatz’ of which Jason is a part. Jbeatz also completed the recording of the first single ‘I’ll Be There’ taken from his forthcoming EP entitled ‘It Is What It Is’. Since the release of ‘I’ll Be There’ Jbeatz has performed and conducted numerous interviews in London, Birmingham and Coventry with numerous radio DJ’s and stations. His style of music and genre in particular are Pop, Hip-hop, and Rap. Has performed with other artist and upcoming artist, performing in front of others is what truly energizes him. His lyrics are a reflection of his surroundings and embrace the essence of life.
