We welcome back one of our favorites and most outstanding producers at the moment: Kiki, who is better known for his music on labels such as: Crosstown Rebels, Watergate, Exploited, Bpitch Control and his most recent release on Jamie Jones Hot Trax imprint. Kiki keeps it coming with the quality, and this release proves how much his finger is on the underground pulse. ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire’ is a tough techster with a driving groove. As the track develops, a speech dialogue adds depth and alluring funky chord progressions fusions with a resounding low end, all held together with a tight production. For ‘030’ (Berlin AC) Kiki has Sketched out an edgy work-out with a melodically driven soundscape of pads and violin-like teases, while a loud brass glides in, touching in speculative territory. This one is perfect to set the mood of the night. Closing the package is a dub version of the title track, slightly different, moodier and retaining tension. Once again Kiki delivering excellence.
