ur man from Sweden is back with his second single release on Upon.You Records, following up on his April 2k16 released „Reflektions“ with his new three track EP „Push“. And who's the one we're talking about? Kristian Heikkila, the young and talented nordic export who's been working crowds on a regular with his distinct and highly functional club tunes. The opener and title track „Push“ paves the way for things to come with stomping, even slightly industrial-oriented bass drums and mechanical grooves, accompanied by gooey, slowly morphing bass synths, a dystopian sci-fi atmosphere and – surprise! - uplifting vocals and their varied iterations as a hefty contrast to the tunes overwhelming subfrequent waves coming at you from the dark side of the sonic universe. Activating the „Looper“ we see Kristian Heikkila pleases all followers of technoid sounds with a precisely cut and mastered foundation, slowly shifting low frequency movements and more of a proggy atmosphere for an endless late night ride through the sonic universe. Finally we're dancing the „Bionic Boogie“ to a hefty, thundering and danger-indicating Techno cut combining large scale reverberations, big spatial movements and a sparse, repetetive main motif with a bit of a playful attitude, crystalline space strings and the occasional rave signal for peak time abuse.
