Luka Sambe and Filter Bear are new names to the UM family. Hailing from Australia it's almost home grown talent - well almost. Their EP is the usual mix of two originals and two remixes from UM favourites Qmusse and Phasen. Libido Season has a pure White Isle sound, with an addictive, body moving bassline, flickering Spanish guitar and a vocal that just laps at the shores of life - stunning. Qmusse drops a disco-funk-dirty groovin-swaggering (is that a phrase?) remix of the original and takes the sound straight to the main room. Phasen takes a jazzier look at the sound, retro in places but bass driven deep house from him once more. Finally the second original in Knee Pads offers a more electronica, tech-house throb to the EP. This time firmly fixing their attention to the main room and kicking off a night to remember.
