Chain of Chaos is an American post rock band from Seattle, Washington. Their trademark sound is characterized by metal guitars, distortion, synths, drums and experimental aspects of sound incorporating real-time synth programming techniques. CoC owes a great deal of inspiration to post rock/post metal groups such as Pelican, Isis, Sigur Ros. While frontman, Mike Lanka, was visiting the Pacific ocean beaches on a frightfully stormy Autumn evening in late October 2011, with sideways rain and blistering sands kicked up by 80+ mph gusts, the desolate scene reminded him of the film ‘Seventh Seal” and the later that evening, the composition was created.
