Feet Back in the Door
“Feet Back In The Door” once again gives us the soulful sounds of Arthur Adams. The Tennessee native got his start early in life at six years old singing in church. Arthur traveled throughout the south early on in his career, landed in Dallas and then eventually headed west and settled in Los Angeles, California in the late sixties where he has since remained. Arthur has a silky smooth vocal presence and guitar style that remains the soul blues sound of today. Over the years Arthur has contributed his talents to many recording projects including albums by Jimmy Smith, Nina Simone, Quincy Jones, Lowell Fulson, The Crusaders and Bonnie Raitt. In 1991, Arthur played rhythm guitar and contributed two songs - “Mean And Evil” and “Something Up My Sleeve,” to B.B. King’s album “There Is Always One More Time” on MCA Records. King later returned the favor appearing on Arthur’s release “Back On Track” in 1999. Arthur released “ Soul of the Blues “ in 2004 and followed with “Stomp the Floor” in 2009. Now in 2012, with his friend Keb’ Mo’ producing songs he has co-written with Harry Garfield, he proudly brings us two superior tracks “ Feet Back in The Door” and “ Like Only She Can Do”.
