Places
Coming from a background of progressive/symphonic rock music, and influences such as Genesis, Yes, Camel, Pink Floyd, Pendragon and others, ATRIUM was born in late 2003. ATRIUM was founded in the Lisbon area by long-term friends Rui and Carlos who found each other again after many years apart. With the arrival of Pedro in 2004, the band finally found its base line-up and established a clear musical path. During the hardships of these early years, the studio work LET ME DREAM (2008) was the band’s ‘business card’ during their live performances, such as together with Barclay James Harvest’s sold out concert at Aula Magna in Lisbon, where ATRIUM played as Special Guests. With their latest studio effort – the ambitious symphonic/progressive rock album ‘2011’ - ATRIUM are clearly set to conquer a place in the global Progressive Rock scene. Since the beginning of 2011, the band has performed several live shows, including as a support band for ASIA in June at the supergroup’s concert in Lisbon. Currently, ATRIUM are playing live and have already recorded two new tracks, “Sintra, a Place in the World” and “Zig Zag of the Great Wall”, for their next studio album. The EP “PLACES” features the beginning of a journey that starts at Sintra, goes along the Great Wall of China and it will continue to other "Places" around the World. "PLACES" will be released in the end of May 2012. ATRIUM are: Bruno Godinho – Lead Vocals, guitar, synth Carlos "Caíto" Martins – Bass Guitar, acoustic guitar, bass pedalboard and vocals Pedro Cravo – Guitars and vocals Rui Godinho – Keyboards, percussion and vocals Contacts E-mail: atrium@atriumprogpt.com Web: http://www.atriumprogpt.com
