It won him Best Tejano Country Artist, Best Tejano Crossover Artist, and Best Bilingual Song at the 1999 Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio, Texas. With a contagious, down-on-the-farm type of cumbia beat and punctuated by very memorable and catchy phrases, this record is still attracting new generations of accordion music lovers in 2015. JAVIER MOLINA has a very unique accordion-driven musical style that is truly original and also bilingual. He sings and plays his guitar with a genuine and authentic Texas-Mexico borderland flavor and sound. Though his unique musical style sometimes defies description, his fans always categorize his as Tejano~Country with a spice of Cumbia Rock and Honky Tonk.
