Waiting
A love story about girls waiting for their beloved. Eating dates, preparing for a hot night in the oasis. The multicultural female vocal trio Harem, having a professional bellydancer in their ranks, had some hits in Turkey and Finland with their sensual oriental pop-soul. Harem - founded in 1988 by composer/producer Chemist - toured in Europe in 1989. Unfortunately the female trio had to break up as one of the vocalists came from Congo (then Zaïre) and couldn't obtain a passport due to the political tensions in the former Mobutu republic. Tired of playing cat and mouse with the customs, the group decided to split. At that time there were no open borders in Europe and even in small country roads, they had to bluff themselves out of the custom control. Another factor was that oriental dancer Aziza Gizeh had also lots of international contracts in and outside Europe and she finally choose for her bellydance carreer.
