This album is about endings, new beginnings and change. We say many goodbyes and close many doors in our lifetime, but each time there is opportunity for growth and new possibilities. Therefore despite the pain and sadness, it is an album full of optimism and hope. I believe in listening to our pain, but we must eventually always let go and embrace the new. The last few years of my life have been full of endings and changes. Almost immediately after releasing my last album ”No Place Like Home” I ended a relationship, moved country twice and started my life over again. I had my sense of reality ripped from underneath me and I’ve seen my friends go through their own difficulties and pain. But I’ve also encountered so much love and I’ve learnt so many new things. Change is scary and uncomfortable. But the most important lesson for me was learning to trust myself. That empowered me and gave me the courage and strength to start again. This album took longer to complete than I anticipated. When I first got started I was expecting a release over a year earlier. But I suppose even change takes time. Three years in the making. This album is my new beginning.
