The newest release on Pulsar Recordings is a two-part production by an artist whos no stranger to the label: French Skies. The first part, Across the World, is a heavenly uplifting tune that builds up steadily, with a driving bassline that rolls along towards the gradual rise of the pads, before a rapid synth jumps in and takes the listeners by surprise, all accompanied by the aahs of the vocals in the background. Organically, a soft piano melody works its way in, before the sounds collapse in the breakdown, where the listeners are confronted with the beautiful sounds of nature, and the melody returns, holding the listeners hands and taking them on a trip around the world, across the forests and meadows and oceans, finally taking off, leaving the listeners soaring the skies. The second part, Great Ancient Sea, is a more rhythmic and energetic track, with a punchier kick and bassline, along with a faster, happier echoing melody that runs towards the ocean and takes a deep dive, leading the listeners on a journey into the underwater world. As the surrounding sounds die out, so too does the melody, diving deeper and deeper, before the synth takes its place and flies out of the water, gliding along the ocean.
