After years of playing Irish traditional music at Dempsey's Pub sessions in New York City, we decided it was time to record some of our Christmas favorites. Nothing fancy here, folks. Just some lovely old carols and simple harmonies on old-fashioned acoustic instruments. We hope this might be a refreshing change from what usually is heard around this time of year. No singing, but you might want to revisit the words to some of these old hymns and songs. Though perhaps archaic now, they are timeless and true. "Every December I look forward to the time in the session when it quietens down and Jim and James play Christmas music together--it always lifts the spirits of the company.
