Rule's name comes from an acronym, Really Underskilled Losers from Elkins, as all of the members hail from the small town of Elkins, WV. Their original song writing stems from decades listening to quality rock music including U2, REM, INXS, Pearl Jam, The Who and many others. Songs on this power pop concept album focus on Mitch's odyssey from technophilia to going off the grid. Mitch loves his smartphone, his gadgets, his Facebook profile but starts to question the authenticity of all of it. Eventually, he loses his way, breaks down and gets thrown back to the basics. Every song stands alone, but the full story of Mitch 2.0 is best appreciated by listening all the way from beginning to end.
