This collection of songs were written during times of great musical inspiration and in times of intense idleness. It has always been my goal to make not just " a record of songs", but a record that reflects "who and what I am, and what I'm about musically. I think this collection of songs capture that . My love of Lakota Sioux History is reflected in the song "Crazy Horse" as well as the "unplugged version " re-titled " Tasunke Witko". Also growing up in the Pacific Northwest , I wrote "Down By the Water" , as a nod to the sights and sounds and smells of the waterfront in Seattle and the Pike Place Market in particular ! I would haunt the music stores on 1st avenue every chance i got ! In short , my music is seen by many as a combination of many styles in Rock, Pop , Country and Jazz. And oh.. don;t forget the Blues !
