The Source has held its original members together as a group for twenty years, organizing in 1996, playing to clubs, festivals, and casinos. As one of the members stated “We have played together so long we are extensions of each other”, we all definitely agree on one thing… we play music with respect to honor those that have dedicated their heart and soul to entertaining others. Jeff Geiser sits upon the drum riser keeping steady beats for the last 35 years. For 34 years Mike Chlopkowiak has been putting on the groove playing up and down the bass. Lindie Woodring has been performing lead/harmony vocals along with her percussions for over 30 years Ed Woodruff is the lead songwriter/guitarist and vocalist that has been using up recording tapes for over 35 years. Jeff, Mike and Lindie are native South Dakotans; Ed is originally from the Minneapolis area and moved to South Dakota in 1996. The Current Source album “I Feel I Need” was recorded in “The Ed Shed”. It was engineered by Ed Woodruff. It was mixed by Grammy award winning Tom Weir of Studio City Sound (L.A. , CA) The drums and bass for the song “I Feel I Need” was performed by Matt Lauge and Lance Morrison Matt has played on albums with total sales of over 35 million records. Lance has also played on successful records.
