I could tell you hundreds of reasons why this album is fantastic to me, from the reality behind the lyrics, to the rhyming scheme, to the way that I personally produced each individual track, to the blood, sweat and tears I poured into this album and moulding it into something that I never thought I was capable of creating, but its better to learn by experience. A short history lesson about Me, Myself and I in the past 9 months: After getting ****ed out of close to 10 grand by a money greedy studio and a haphazard producer, I still posted my previous album "Inertia" on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Google Play, just as I had originally intended to, but instead of being proud of it, i did it out of sheer spite because "Damn it all, I've come this far". After the album was released, I spent much of my time debating whether or not I wanted to pull the plug on it and take it down from those online stores because of how much it made me cringe thinking about all the things that I could have been able to do with the album if I hadn't been ****ed out of almost all my money. Even before the first album was finished, I started to realize that my potential wasn't being fully tapped, but there was nothing i could do about it in the meantime, and since I'm not made of money, these types of things take time and a whole lot of money. That album was released on September 18th of 2015. Close to 6 months later, I had already fully written and produced this current album using a profession production software as opposed to using GarageBand on an iPad, which, at the time of the first album, was all I could really afford and all that I thought I needed, which, obviously I know now, I was wrong. Since September, the ups and downs and emotional **** shows, along with the stubborn vitality of being 21 and full of piss and vinegar, I created Backtrack. Something that really nobody has every really heard of before. When I am asked, which at this point is quite frequent when I show people my music, they always ask the same question "So, what genre would you describe this as?" to that I respond, "I have no f**king clue, what about you?" to which they always answer back with the same response I gave them. However, all music is comparable to each other in some way, shape, or form, so the best way that I personally can describe this album is by taking the era of blues music, where the artists who wrote the songs cared about the songs because they actually experienced what they wrote about and infusing it with todays style of making music, but always maintaining the true definition of music: self-expression for the entertainment of yourself and others. If you do decide to purchase my album, which I hope you do, because personally I think its an incredible album and its the only thing that I've been listening to for the past month, tell everybody about it so I can keep creating music that is nothing like this **** on the radio.
