“Beyond the Dark” explores the pushing, pulling, and interweaving of multiple violin lines atop an other-worldly bed of electronic sound produced by Aaron Karr at ARK Studios. This was my first collaboration with Sarah Davidson-Gurney, and after taking some time to get a feel for the electronic portion of the track, we came together in the studio and alternated writing the melodies and harmonies for “Beyond the Dark.” Knowing this would be released the same day as our accompanying video shot at Fantasy Canyon, we strove for a sound that would be both new and captivating, and I’m proud to release my first original with Sarah and ARK Studios Media Group.
