Darrell McCall and Johnny Bush team together to present "Hot Texas Country." This true piece of Country Music Histor was recorded at Willie Nelson's studio near Austin featuring Johnny Gimble on fiddle, Buddy Emmons on steel guitar, Weyman McBride on Guitar, Bucky Meadows on piano, Johnny Bush on drums and Darrell McCall on Bass. Both Darrell and Johnny selected some of their favorite honky tonk standards for this project including "You Done Me Wrong" and "The Twenty Fourth Hour" written by their ex bossman Ray Price, the George Strait "I Can't See Texas From Here" and the Harlan Howard classic "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down." Some later songs are included to round out this project with "If You'll Hold The Ladder" "Broken Promised Land" and "Just Ridin' Through." Mona McCall joins her husband on "Afternoon Rendezvous".
