From the heart of California and the soul of Cape Town comes this duo, Carly & the King. After their paths crossed while studying at Berklee College of Music, the rest is history. An acoustic guitar, honey sweet harmonies and their friendly faces landed them a gig onboard Celebrity Cruise Lines where they toured Northern Europe and the Caribbean. “Our intention with song is to elevate any space with vibrations of love. If it makes you smile or makes you want to dance, that is the kind of music we love to create.” Drawing inspiration from the mellow melodies of James Taylor and Joni Mitchell, to the personal lyrics of Jewel and John Mayer, these two storytellers focus on themes of love, connection, and community. With their debut EP of original songs, ‘Love Provides the Means’ is a declaration of much more to come from these twenty-somethings.
