Rule's name comes from an acronym, Really Underskilled Losers from Elkins, as all of the members hail from the small town of Elkins, WV. Their original song writing stems from decades listening to quality rock music including U2, REM, INXS, Pearl Jam and many others. Songs focus on social issues, not boy-girl romantic nonsense. They do write love songs, one on their first album in tribute to their favorite beverage, Mountain Dew, and another on their upcoming release focused on the joys of smart phone ownership. Elements of punk angst and a rock and roll spirit fuel their sound, which frankly, doesn't sound like punk rock or anyone else. Well, check it out and let them know what you think.
