Born in the UK and raised in Beirut, William Mahfoud (a.k.a. Rise 1969) is considered a staple in the Lebanese rave scene, drawing influences from the punk, techno, drum and bass, ambient and experimental communities. in 2019 he won the Beirut Berlin Express competition and got the chance to work with Sasse at Blackhead Studios for his debut album 'Black Eye' which received critical acclaim from the music lovers around the world. In 2021 William joined Blackhead Studios again to produce his 2nd album and the first fruit of this collaboration is 'Falling Angels'. An ode to the lost dancefloors and empty clubs, 'Falling Angels' takes his music to the next level and gives us a glimpse of his forthcoming album on Moodumusic which will be released in August 2021.
