Biography Chaplain T.J. Hardy and Gwendolyn Oglesby-Hardy, make up the dynamic gospel duo “Chaplain and Gwen” of Southwest Michigan. The pair’s repertoire includes lively sacred hymns, traditional spirituals, contemporary Christian compositions, instrumental meditationals, Celtic hymns, southern gospel, black gospel, and Christian love songs. Chaplain and Gwen continue to provide musical support to varied denominational and non-denominational congregations and organizations. They provide sacred music and ministry that is designed for ecumenical worship events. Chaplain and Gwen have performed at numerous youth and adult retreats, outdoor concerts, weddings, banquets, and other special ceremonies. They often provide music and ministry to the Department of Defense Logistics Agency in Battle Creek, Michigan, and prison ministry for the Michigan Department of Corrections. The team has contributed musical support for the Department of Veteran Affairs at both the Battle Creek and Ann Arbor Medical Centers. They have performed at a number of Christian revivals. They have also gone on tour with their music and ministry throughout Europe. The duo has been privileged to share the stage with many noted gospel artists including; Ben Tankard, Wesley Snipes, The Wonder Boy’s Of Detroit MI, Rodney Perry and Little Richard of Southern California. They enjoyed performing with the well known gospel artist Reverend Rance Allen of Toledo OH. Chaplain and Gwen have been singing together over twenty-nine years. Over those years they have recorded their compact discs including; “I Found Someone”, “Faith is the Key”, and the soon-to-be-released recording entitled “Indescribable…Love”. This CD will demonstrate their broadening range of interests and their ever-evolving original style.
