Simon once again teams up with Australian producer Luke Satchell for this elektro tinged number. Following on from Simon's recent hard tech EP is Duck Fonk, a tune that is far removed from the usual hard trance we've come to expect from the Ignite stable; here we're treated to the sounds of what is fast becoming the signature tech style of late. Holding back on the melodies they've opted for choppy bare beats and a rumbling energetic synth line. The reason this track works so well is the intelligent way in which the synth folds in and drives the track without it ever taking over or leading into a main line, its perfectly happy to sit squelching away under the tough beat structure until we hit the break where harmonic stabs help introduce it fully then it falls away to add buzzing elements to the bass and is chopped to the outro. This is very respective of the hard dance scene as it is now and should nicely slot into your cd wallet somewhere near the front!
