Whatever your particular take on Christmas, there is one thing that happens at this time of year that makes all the spending and hype palatable – people get together. So The Selecter thought it would be a good idea to record a Christmas single that reflected that good feeling. But typically, we couldn’t stop there- oh no- that would be too easy. There is good and bad in everything, even Christmas. So we wrote a double A side Christmas single that we hope reflects all aspects of the Yuletide season. ‘Skank till Christmas’ is a light-hearted Rudeboy’s take on the festive season in these recessionary times & “A Christmas Fable’ is a cautionary tale about what happens when the pressures of life become too much for one family- unfortunately a far too familiar theme in recent years. However you choose to celebrate the holiday season, The Selecter would like to thank all our fans for the generous support that they have shown this year. 2011 has been a remarkable year for The Selecter and we are sure that 2012 promises to be even better.
