Indie crooner Kameron Corvet releases his latest musical offering, “Leave It Like That.” Penned by Corvet and produced by Kennard Garret (together known as The Rush), this track offers another glimpse into Corvet's forthcoming album Due Process, which will center around the journey to rediscovery both as a man and an artist. While you can expect the same rewarding l experience that you’ve become accustomed to with Corvet's music—his signature falsetto, slick guitar riffs and a unique delivery of melody and rhythm—lyrically the Atlanta transplant is wading through uncharted waters. “In the past, I’ve written exclusively for other people in industry; for people I perceived to be the audience as opposed to just writing how I felt,” explains Corvet. “This marks an opportunity for me as a writer to dig deeper into experiences. I am not focused on being overly complex or putting on airs. I am being completely honest and for the first time, I feel free as a writer.” With the aid of an erie lead guitar mixed with feel good drums and bass, Leave it Like That explores the abrupt ending to a relationship and the resulting aftermath, as Corvet sings: “We have lied/ And we’ve kept things undercover/Sure we fight/But can we fight for each other.” His emotional outpouring begs the question: Is this how we want to end things?Do we really want to leave it like that? Adds Corvet: “Although you don’t want to face the idea of losing this person, you're resolved that if you do, you gave it one last attempt before it was final.”
