Steve Adams has been writing and performing his own material on the U.K. acoustic music scene for a number of years. His excellent guitar-playing and his spot-on, impassioned vocal delivery once again shine through in this, his fourth album, as do his very original, often quirky, surreal and extremely funny compositions. Although much of his material falls into the category of acoustic blues/folk, he loves to experiment with other musical styles. This album, for example, boasts a range of genres, from science fiction-flavoured folk songs about time travel, alien abduction and a world where our thought bubbles float visibly above our heads, to plaintive love ballads, acoustic blues, punk and 80s-style synth pop. "I Do Not Entertain Lightly" is yet another winner from Steve Adams, the Master of Quirk.
