I wrote this song to encourage teachers at an ACSI Early Educators conference. These teachers love, guide, and nurture young children– a group of people Jesus valued as very important. Jesus pointed out that "the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" and took time to bless them and pray over the children (Matthew 19:13-15). The scriptures don't record a whole lot about his encounter with them and so this song imagines what might have happened in their interaction. The story is told from the perspective of a child who was there that day and will never forget what Jesus said.
