Strange Sounds in the City
Written while busking, hungry, and daydreaming of a love beyond the great divide...wafting across from the Public Gardens. An amalgam of story-telling folk & jazz with an 'R meets B' groove, best described as ‘Neo-folk’. The super tight rhythm section of Craig Strain, bass and Issah Contractor on drums, along with Andre Doucette, engineer -- really brought this one-take-track to life, in a way I had only imagined. I feel this live energy has been well captured on record at Crew Studios, North Vancouver with mastering "nailed" at CPS by Brock MacFarlane. Bravo, gentleman! I hope you, the 'streaming listener' immerse yourself and enjoy the fresh serving of music. There's more "Joy on the Landing" to come...
