My name is Evan Cole and my band is THE SAVAGES. We Started as a band exactly a year ago on a lake trip with my drummer, Micah Fleming, and our friend Spencer Willis. I've had many bands before where I was behind the scenes playing drums, or piano. I would occasionally write songs but it was mainly left up to the leader. My dream since a little kid was to be the frontman of a band in front of a crazy amount of people. At the lake, me, Micah and Spencer wanted to make a band that had crazy stage presence, solid, catchy songs, and were just crazy in general. We Picked the name, "THE SAVAGES" because it portrayed all of that. We added Michael Spurrier (One of my very long time friends) and we started the band for about 8 months. Spencer went a different way so we found Collin Sigars, my best friend to play bass. My inspiration to the songs on ANIMAL-EP vary. BE SOMEONE, is more for hope for yourself. ROCK AND ROLL, is pure raw energy. SKELETON is about leaving something behind to start anew. And LION SONG is about humans in general and about how we are all different.
